FOUND IN THE WILDERNESS

FOUND IN THE WILDERNESS

A Poem by MoseHardin

Found in the wilderness

I am walking around aimlessly

Looking for shelter from the storm

I look as far as my eyes can see for signs of life

Searching for another breathing soul

Maybe this is what Adam endured before Eve

My natural instincts kick in

And I survive on my knowledge and experience

Allowing me to grow stronger in my walk

I meditate on memories of better days

Past bringing comfort to present

I stop for a moment to slumber

Lay down the burdens which weigh heavy on my spirit

To pray and gather the pieces of my mind I have lost along the way

Oh how peaceful the sound of silence

God’s greatest gift to the man living in chaos

I take deep breathes

Realizing that I am still alive

Taking a moment to embrace the moment I am living in

I close my eyes and I go deeper in my soul for directions home

I hear a voice speaking to me in a loud whisper

Wherever you are HOME is…..
