Two Peas in a Pod

A hopeful poem about relationship and love

You are the heart,

vital and alive with life.

I am a leaf in fall,

drifting with the tides of the mind.

You are purity of love,

mercy exemplified and

 i am critical thought,
severity in action.

You are the epitome of springtime,

A bountiful

 garden
of beautiful blossoms,

natures miraculous harvest.

 
I am the Sun, bold and aggressive,
harsh and focused,

while you are the Moon,
mysterious and reflective.

Together we are whole,

a flowing unity of opposites,

an interactive paradox

of neutralizing forces.

We are Maya you and I,
Not two, but one.

Together, we transcend the sum of our parts,

like neutron and,

 proton,
night and day,
negative and positive....

We are the colors purple and yellow,
blue and orange.

You are oceans of Ions,
nurturing and fecund,

the warmth and hope of dreams while I,

 the frigid calm of reality.

You and I are paradox personified,

day and night, up and down,
north and south, In and out.

WE are Oxygen, you and I,
finding stability in our trinity.

Together we are the music of the spheres
held together by the gravity of our interdependence
and the mutuality of our flesh.

We are the limitless emptiness of fulfillment.

 
Merged, we are two peas
in a shared pod of protective unity,
joined in spiritual matrimony;

an ideal fused in the universal mind's eye .

You and I are love in motion
and eternity in the now

You've covered the whole spectrum of life and love, painting such beautiful pictures of yin and yang. Alone they are different but equally stunning parts, but when brought together in a unifying bond, they are sublime. That's why 2 peas in a pot remind me of exactly that. In fact, I cannot think of a better comparison so BRAVO!

There are so many good lines here, but I absolutely adore:"You and I are love in motion and eternity in the now" - One of a kind sir! Why wait for eternity, when we can have it now and for ever.

I also love the line, "WE are Oxygen, you and I,
finding stability in our trinity." - such a smart reference to a trinity (H2O = 3 people - hehe)
