I plunged headfirst into the earth; found scarlet billowed seams.
The ichor inside, ambrosia that binds, the life
from all the other.
Perhaps it is time to give up the gun;
Lay sword
beneath the shield.
Perhaps it is time to give up the wine
Living.
Life.
As.
It.
Comes.

Piecemeal.
