When the World was One

When the World was One

A Poem by Montag
"

"

When the World was One

thoughtful waterways murmured

ceaseless, searching, ever-matriculating

down the fields of understanding

to unite within the sea

and

busying bees descended

hovering 'top stamens in the bloom, hesitant

to then and there be nectar thieves

as

allusive wind appended sighs

along the dotted lines of eucalyptus limbs

upward in their poses of huzza

to

praise the declarations

ardent songbirds sing

when they declare in truth no thing

save life within.
