At the End

 

 

Here, at history's end

the moral arc of the universe

attains itself, like in an Indian rope trick

or when the levee breaks

or the gates of heaven close behind you

with an ominous click.

very smart take on man's sense of self M. reminds me of Francis Fukuyama's seminal but ill-conceived The End of History. Time and events roll on, whether an ape is there to record them or not.
