Wowie Bowie

Wowie Bowie

A Poem by Alex Moondragon

Wowie Bowie!

Your scintillating stardust

streaks, enigmatic bright,

roaring silently off-planet,

blazing a trail of light:

Your enlightening gift of realisation:

My polymath butterfly

tirelessly reinventing self

over and over and over again;

seeking, yet without need to seek.

Now your freedom

shadows my freedom:

No more need to conform;

finally accepting it's okay to keep

Changing, Metamorphosising, Transitioning;

drawn to the seductive truth

that only true artists know:

Authentic expression and creativity

are the spiral arms embracing a galaxy

within which we may finally

dare to feel at home.
