Alone at last

Being alone and being lonely are very different things

Alone at last after such a long road
A road suffocating with thorns and thistles something many do not know
Scars and bruises I walked such a traden path
But now that I'm alone the road is clear at last

The sun is blazing with its raze showing the path so clear
Water glistening by the wayside and deer
I've never had a chance to see things as they are
It felt like the thorns reached so very far
With bruises and all I never knew how strong I could be
Until being alone at last with more clarity

This poem feels peaceful and strong. You show how hard the journey was, but now there’s calm and light. I love how being alone isn’t lonely here... it’s freeing. Lines like “I never knew how strong I could be” really stand out. I've always liked the idea of being alone... it gives me peace. I really like to you know just chill in solitude.. like have my own time and focus on me and me alone.

Though the feeling 'alone at last', and path I thought clear,
more than once in the past, would suddenly disappear.
I'd be thrust back to lonely, with the doubt I was ever free.
