Weeping Willow....at night

Weeping Willow....at night

A Poem by Kady R.
"

Nothing like going to park and hearing the inspiring sounds of nature. Hope you enjoy!!

"
Sitting on the park bench watching the weeping willow tree, stars blazing bright
Heart broken
I was mourning among the crowd
Being well known…..from the mist of people….mist
As an extrovert it was easy to be
But the cracks were beginning to show
One can mourn in heart for so long
But….I can't…..cry
My heart shedding the tears my eyes could not bear
I felt used….and convinced myself it was okay
I got the job I wanted……..despite the critics
Many were impressed……which was unconscious
I was starting to get…….exhausted
And I was beginning to make…….mistakes
I needed someone
Someone to talk to
But here I was with the weepy willow
No longer a joyful sway but a painful sliding of its branches on the ground
I understand I wondered
We were alone just then in the dark with the moon blazing bright in its full brilliance
Who can hear the cry of the weeping willow tree but I?
Those that cry in heart can hear eachother
Without a word
So I sat there
Listening to the branches of the weeping willow tree, at night

For those that cry in heart, you are heard. Even if it is from the weeping of the willow tree.

In times of trouble one wants another to listen not give advice and the tree is an excellent companion. Nicely written it pleads its case to a well named companion who might empathize. The mood carries through well in this poetic work. Very nicely written. I found its dysphoric mood well done and most alluring

Poems like this one often have to do with lost love, but here we have despondency related to a job. The speaker apparently has landed a long sought for position, but things are not going well and there is the fear of losing the job. Distraught, he retires to a park and sits on a bench under a willow tree, which seems to be a fellow sufferer. Real or not, the speaker is comforted by the companionship. It is often the part of wisdom to seek comfort in nature, when all human devices have failed.
PS: You might take a look at lines 21 and 22. In the first, the line should end with me instead of I, and in the second, the last two words in the line have been run together.

Hi Kady
If something or someone is troubling, many of us cannot cry out loud, but surely can cry from the heart, the pain if inner emotions screams....I l like the metaphor with the tree, whose name is weeping willow; yet even with the moon bright, it's not enough to push away the darkness...NICE!

The pendulum sway of its branches make it one of the loveliest trees. I've never had the fortune of sitting beneath one, but I've written about their beauty and poetic nature that we are drawn to. Lovely presentation, Kady. And it's wonderful to meet you!

The sight of a weeping willow tree is supposed to give both understanding and Hope. One is to see the tree as it is - a beautiful living being that has gone through pain but Survives. Tear show sadness but can, if allowed, wash away the pain of it.

Your writing is truly heartfelt

A vulnerable, reflective piece where the weeping willow becomes a companion in silent grief. Honest, tender, and quietly devastating in its solitude.

I love how the weeping willow becomes a powerful symbol for hidden sorrow. This poem beautifully captures the quiet loneliness beneath a public smile. It’s a heartfelt reflection on exhaustion, isolation, unspoken pain and the longing to be truly seen.

Hiii Nehhaaa!!! Thanks for the kind review🤗🤗🤗🥰🥰🥰
This poem is tender and deeply emotional. It captures the quiet pain of someone who feels alone, even in a crowd, and the way that grief can hide behind a smile. The image of the weeping willow is beautiful and symbolic it feels like the tree is both a mirror and a silent friend. The lines about crying in the heart are especially touching.
I truly hope that you're doing alright though... Don't forget to wear your beautiful smile today!

It is amazing how nature speaks to us, calls us and then heals us together. This is a beautiful piece about a beautiful moment with a weeping willow tree. Well done!
