Purposeless poem

Feeling goofy today another lighthearted one.

So what is the purpose of this poem you say?
As a child
I was never good with purpose
It seemed all up and down to me
Black or white
And yet where are the shades of grey or green?

Are there purposeless poems you may say?
I may respond like the waters cover the sea
Are words to a page
Each with its own purpose
Maybe not knowing where to go
And yet
And yet
If it's one word on a page
That word shows the page its purpose………which is to write, to read, to relate, to relax, to learn, or just to write
Maybe not well but it's a journey many do no start
So the purpose of this poem….is……poem
That is the answer
The end.....or is it

Yes. Every poem has to begin to become a poem and you can't do that without starting it. It doesn't mean you will end it, but it must begin to have any hope of an end, which now I come to think of it is way more purposes than I thought when I began writing this sentence.
Plus, the happy warm fuzzy feeling of completing it too. Is someone keeping a count of all these purposes? Someone should really write them all down!
I do agree with your leaving the end open, or maybe it just think I agree, but answering your own question with a question is fun sometimes and despite what some reviewers might tell you, poetry has no rules and if they say they do they might not get poetry as much as they think.
Okay, I agree there are some rules to poetry, especially in haiku, senryu or even cinquain, but maybe sometimes it can just be fun to mess these up on purpose.
For example...

Writing poetry
in seventeen syllables
is night on imposs..
