Neighbors tree

Found a beautiful tree on ticktock and got inspired to write this. Hope you enjoy

Rose colored butterflies
Twinkling in the light
Delicate in a breeze
Resting on each stem
Forming its own petals like wings
At a glance it is as if the flowers could fly
But no
Each flower rests
The petals on the branches
As if a rest from flight
The deep brown of the tree stands out from the backdrop of blue
Living in the suburbs you would never image such a beautiful tree
But here he is
In my neighbors backyard
Peaking through the concrete fence to saying hello to the sky

Aww, that tree be pretty! Unfortunately though, there are some (too many) who would think that its pretty colours would make it ideal for target practice for whatever reason they think will bring about the apocalypse!
I remember back in my climbing days being struck dumb by a teeny flower growing from a crack in the rock about 1200 feet up a climb. It looked so fragile and beautiful that I decided the ledge it was growing from would make a great place to stop for lunch and wonder at its commitment to reach sunlight enough to grow, in the most inhospitable of places.
I still think of that moment when life gets hard. Like when the supermarket runs out of my favourite marmalade or the waitress takes too long bringing me my coffee! We are such a fickle bunch, arent we? 😃

I enjoyed reading your poem, so lovely and full of beautiful imagery.
I love to look at trees, these days we have colorful Pink and yellow Poui trees, you can search it, its our island's native trees. [Poui/Tabebuia chrysantha] They are currently scattered everywhere.
