The WalkA Poem by Morgan MastersA woman remembers the past, admires her present and contemplates her future.I have the company of many, but not great company they keep. For time is of the essence and yet still they do sleep.
I await on bated breath, the seconds until I shall see, the face's that I seek, with eyes that burn so deep.
Countless moments are cherished Countless hours are lost, Countless memories are admired, although some I do gloss.
Fresh flowers I do tread upon, they lay across the ground, My feet recount the steps of many, friends sleeping safe and sound.
Inescapable that I am here, Time passes ever so quick, Friends are waiting there for me, shock shows no trick.
In the ground they slumber, all of my old friends, And today I shall join them, for today it is my End. © 2011 Morgan MastersAuthor's Note
