Let's Fix This

Hey there friend

Do you miss this busy city

Don't you miss these grueling streets

That have made us so damn witty

What's left now

Do you even have a clue

Could you ever really tell me

How we ended up the fool

What's to show

From all the truth we let hide

For all the past we let die

For all the tears we let slide

How do I stop

All this pain I have down deep

How did we go from so damn strong

To being so damn weak

How could we ever

Turn our f*****g backs

How could we look the other way

And not look at the facts

Are we to blame

For everything that's happened

For all the tears that have fell

Or just maybe for the laughing

Can we change

All the end results

Can we be judged for what we have

Instead of all our faults

Could we fix this

If we gave it all we got

If we cherished all the good

If we gave it one last shot

Whats to fix

Is this really all our fault

Our we taking all the blame

For something we never could have helped

We gotta try

If not for them then for ourselves

We gotta prove we have it in us

Put our pride up on a shelf

Whats to gain

Our own claim to glory

Two kids who tried there hardest

For a happy ending to there story

What's left to lose

Only time and energy

We can do this if you want

Won't you come and stand by me

You've never left

It took time to realize

All the distance in between us

Was a fabricated lie

So here's the truth

Sit down and hear it out

This might take a lil time

There's so much to talk about

I hated you

It was no fault of your own

It was things inside of me

Only pain and anger can let grow

I was a wreck

And you were so damn strong

It made me so damn mad

That I couldn't play along

And what's worse

You were the only one I needed

You were the one that I avoided

When the hurt inside was breedin

Now I'm ashamed

How could I ever feel that way

How could I ever turn my back

And be filled with such a hate

There's no excuses

And I'm sorry's just won't do

But the things I felt inside

Weren't because of you

They weren't real

That's all that I can say

And I'd hold nothing against you

If you wanted to turn away

I'm so sorry

But when your brother left

I was torn so many ways

I guess you know the rest

But here what's real

I'll let go of all it now

I'll let you have some time to cope

Why I get my feet back on the ground

And will go together

All we have to do is try

We can put this all behind us

We can finally say goodbye
