The unpredictability of life !

The wind is howling 
A storm is brewing 
The night is dark

Thunder can be heard
Roaring in the deep 
The birds dare not embark

The lamp flickers...

The branches snap 
Old leaves forced to fly 
Something's near

The windows creak 
The doors rattle 
trees huddle in fear

The lamp flickers...

Winds grow louder 
The house trembles 
Barely stands

The sky opens 
Showers the hut 
Drenches the land

The lamp flickers...

A new day comes 
Bright lit skies
Trees sway n sing

A little bird arrives 
Settles by the lamp 
Soft fluttering wing

The lamp ... ...

The poetry beautifully justifies the caption- "Unpredictability". It's remarkable to see how well you have manifested your astounding perspective of nature through carefully chosen words to the extent that one could actually feel the words coming to life. I particularly like how you have signified each turn of events unfolding itself with the lamp still flickering and how every beautiful yet flickering moment holds the potential to change our life slowly. The lamp could be symbolism for strength, faith or hope. This is really good and demonstrates how storms of life will always pass through but in the end, life goes on.

Certain images can bring the reader to his /her past . I mean not his individual past . But genetic past. Historians may name it hindsight. Creative writers have the option to visit and revisit the range required with diction/thoughts/phrases and dreams for the purpose. Trying with such area demand total challenge . Risky , I say. There is every chance of fall. But writers do not care as above which is called ORIGINAL.
