Dear GrandadA Poem by The Elusive Mr Dunne (Mr Dunne Poetry)"Dear Grandad" Dear Grandad, you must be so ashamed of your son/ Never once did you think, he would hate his own son All the things that he's done, to both him & his mum/ The damage has been done, but his ship hasn't sunk His mother's just a drunk, yet the son tends to shine/ Unlike the sun in the sky, since darkness entered his mind Heaven was too hard to find, so he settled for Hell/ They couldn't kill what he rhymed, so they went for the girl What I went through was Hell, resentful was how I felt/ Where I dwelled wasn't this world, til when I fell like Grenfell Too ahead of this world, I felt to keep to myself/ The speed of a Gazelle, I thought I could out speed a stealth Instead they got keys to my cell, & a date for my trial/ Like I was speaking to myself, from the days of a child I just pray that my child, gets to smile like I can't/ Since the days I was denied, her lying in my arms..
