Nanny Needs A Life

Nanny Needs A Life

A Poem by The Elusive Mr Dunne (Mr Dunne Poetry)

"Nanny Needs A Life"

If all I had achieved in my life, were a couple kids & a marriage/
I'd probably have nothing to write, except sh*t I'm embarrassed
Yet with the IQ of a cabbage, I Question nothing but Marks/
Although my ego is massive, I'm not the brightest of sparks
Whenever the grandkids need sitting, so their mum can look d*ck/
I'm left raising their children, to fill a void I can't rid
It's like the noise of these kids, block out the voices I hear/
Saying things like "Your choices darling, & poor ones my dear"
This fear of being left alone, is why I Cling On like Star Trek/
As when they've grown & left home, It'll hit me like hard left
It's like I am retarded, but still driven by attention/
Whether the net or in person, & being a div isn't mentioned
If you let me stay for just two nights, I'll extend it by five/
Whilst pretending to care, just so I can spy on your lives
I am that dead inside, even my eyes have no soul/
Just like you'll have no life, if you ever fight for control.
