Cancer

This Poem is about loved ones who may have Cancer and those that love them. This poem has my own experiences in it.

Cancer

Cancer is something that we are all faced with
At some point at sometime
Whether it be of a loved one or ourselves
It is never easy
Not for a minute

There are so many different types of cancer
Lung, Stomach, Prostate, Testicle, Breast, Ovary, Uterus
So many different types
These are but a few

Cancer has touched my family
It took my grandfather away
He had Lymphoma Cancer
He survived 12 years with it
I'm glad I got those 12 years
But I wish he would have seen me get married

My grandmother had breast cancer
She had a double mastectomy
But they got it all
But she died of natural causes
This was my grandfather's wife

So Cancer touches us all
In some way shape or form
I pray for those that do have it
And for their families
That there will be a cure for these Cancers
