A Chapter by Kikai

The new year.. 2011.. The year of the rabbit by the way. Usually every year I look forward to watching the ball drop in Time Square, New York. I'd grab a bottle of water and sit in my room, watching the live CNN coverage and countdown to midnight. I'd be so happy, I jump up and scream "HAPPY NEW YEAR" and run down stairs to my parents... But this year was different. I wasn't as excited, and you wanna know why? It's that annoying Blue Generation's fault, that's why!

Over the Winter Break, the week before Christmas, a new pop band signed with Star Records in Hollywood. Usually, new stars miss my attention, but this one definitely caught mine. From what I had heard, the group only had 5 songs completed, but that was enough to gain them over 1000 fans in just a month! Their first concert sold out within 5 days at a small concert hall in San Fransisco.

Almost everybody here in Seattle, Washington adores them! Practically all my friends, even some guys! This made me want to look into them some more. The group consists of 5 members, 4 boys, 1 girl. They only go by their first names, which is kind of weird, but makes them original. There's Nathan, the bassist, Aaron, the guitarist, Nikki, the drummer (she and Aaron are brother and sister), Lucas, the keyboarder, and then there's him...V, the vocalist.

V is the leader of the group. He said in an interview that his real name is top secret, so he goes by V instead. Psh, typical. He also comes up with all the songs and apparently all the girls just die for him. I don't even understand why; They say he's the best looking, but I don't think so. I kinda think Aaron is the cute one, but I don't like this band anyway. Their songs are catchy, yes, but the words just don't flow with me, or it just doesn't settle right with me. Which is why it made my new years a little bit drowny... All they would play on the radio, and even in TIME SQUARE, was Blue Generation songs, or B.Gen for short.

And now I have to go back to school in just a few days, and face all the crazy B.Gen fans, my friends apart of them, and all the songs, gossip, and fangirls/fanboys that go along with it. Great.
