Chapter 3A Chapter by Kikai//.3
You know, I understand that sometimes people have good days and bad days, and it's just part of life.. But I don't understand why some people (me, for example) live a nice average life, not being too reckless or rude, but then THE WORST things just have to happen to them! On my way home the street I had to cross was closed, I thought 'Oh, that's not too bad, I can always take the detour.' But then the detour ends up going through a creepy dark alley. Not the worst case scenerio, so I just keep my head up. But NO, life just had to throw some barking dogs, beer bars, and them in my way. I thought the bar was just the end of it, but I was highly mistaken. That's where I, Samantha "Anti-B.Gen" Young, had to run into America's most popular pop group.. And my future fellow classmates.
"So, you guys are... Blue Generation?" I looked disgusted at the hand of the drunken V that was just waiting for me to shake it. "Yessir, mam, sir." He laughed. Aaron came running up behind him, then pulled him back. "Hey you!" he started, "You better not be apart of those tabloids. There's no way I can let anyone know about this!" I sighed. "Well you're in luck; I'm not apart of the press or the tabloids.. Hell, I don't like your group anyway." I crossed my arms. "See man?" V interjected. "She's just a hater.. Not gonna tell none body about this. Let her be." He waved his hand around in a 'go-away' kind of motion. Aaron let out a sigh too. "Well, how can I be for sure that I can trust what you say?" He glared at me. How could I get them to trust me? I don't like them, but I wouldn't want anyone to think I was something I'm not, especially if it's some glittery boy-plus-one-girl band. "Well?" The cute one asked. "Well what? I don't know anything about you guys!" I flared my arms. "Isn't that proof enough?" "But how do I know that?" "Ask me any question, sure enough I wont know the answer! The best I know is all your names!" "You know what? Fine, nevermind. Think what you want, I'm going home." I turned around and started walking. I heard the two whispering as I walked away, but I didn't really care what they where talking about. I just knew I had to get home... Like, pronto!
When I finally got home it was about 4:53, so almost 5:00. That's 15 minutes later than the time it would be when I usually got home! Dad was home, in the living room, reading the newspaper and mom was doing dishes. Dad has to pick up Karen from her after school club at 5:30, so that's why he came early today. He usually doesn't get home until 8 or 9:00. "Sorry I'm home late!" I called into the living room before going upstairs. "Yeah, what happened?" I heard my dad ask. "Wait! I'll tell you when I get back downstairs!" I ran to my room. I changed into some basketball shorts and a comfortable tee. I turned the heater on, since it was really cold in my room from the weather. I turned on the computer, so it would be fully loaded when I got back later, and dumped all my homework out onto my bed. A simple routine I do every weekday, and with that I went back downstairs. Mom was done washing dishes now and she joined my dad on the couch. They where watching some drama on T.V. Don't ask me which one cause I don't know. "So why home late?" Mom asked. "That main street I have to cross my the gas station, it was closed." "They're building a new mini mart in the area, and had to drill into the street. So I took a," I breathed in, then heavily out, "a long detour." "Oh, I see." She replied, then went back to hapily watching her drama. "Why an emphasis on the 'long', hun?" Dad then asked. "Oh, well uh.. I ran into someone, and it caused me to be late even more." Dad's expression imediately turned serious. "You ran into someone? Was he a stranger? Predator? Did he harm you?!" He stood up, angered. "NO NO!! It's not like that. I, er, I knew the people, dad." I know I don't actually know them, but its better than saying I ran into a stranger. "Hmm.." Dad seemed a little suspicious. "Fine, if you say say so." I felt my stomach growl and decided to go get something to eat. By that time dad had to leave to pick up Karen and mom went to do laundry so the rest of the night was pretty boring. Sundae sat with me on my bed as I did my homewok. She would just lay there and stare at me, it was so cute! I just got this little pommeranian last month and I already love her. She seemed to relieve my stress about the day better than listening to the radio... which would just make it worse with all the B.Gen songs they play. "Sundae, do you like Blue Generation?" I felt like asking. She growled. "Hehe, I thought so." I patted her on the head then went back to my homework. Finally, after 3 pages of algebra, I was finished. I right away logged onto the computer. Facebook first, 'cause MySpace is dope now. The first person I always check on first is Jay. I don't know why, I used to check up on Lisa first all the time, but then after I met Jay I just seemed more interested in what he did. Yep, call me a stalker, 'cause that's what I am. And he wasn't online anway, so next had to check Lisa. She was online, but her instant messenger was offline. Gosh, what's everyone doing? I thought. Then I noticed that Mikayla was online! I decided to IM her right away, I need someone to talk to, and I want to know how her vacation went.
Me: Heyy! Answer answer!!
Mikayla: oh hi! you seem really jumpy.
Me: not jumpy, just bored! no one's online :(
Mikayla: ya i know. they're all probably all watching Blue Generation's concert on pay per view.
When I read that I just couldn't help but laugh a little. Seriously? They have a concert on pay-per-view now? These people just surprise me one after the other..
Me: ughhh srsly?? how do u know? ur still at the chinese airpot right?
Mikayla: ya but u know me. i'm always up to date on stuff lol
Me: yeah thats true.
I felt like changing the subject, I didn't want to hear anymore about them for the rest of the night.
Me: hey, how was ur vacation in korea?
Mikayla:
Me: like where?
Mikayla: malls.. shopping, u know me =P
Me: right, u have to buy something or you'll die
Mikayla: LOL exactly! don't worry, i got u liz and jay stuff too.
Me: ha great!
Mikayla: OH OH OH you'll never guess who i met while we where at P'yŏngyang!
Me: well, considering that i dont have any clue what that is, i'm not gonna guess.. tell me.
Mikayla: its a city in korea, anyways, u know how my dad a lawyer yeah?
Me: yupp
Mikayla: Ok, so i went with him to one of his client's house, and i met V'S MOM AND DAD!!!
Oh man, just why did she have to bring that up?! I didn't want to hear about them for the rest of the night, and this is what I get?? Ughh... I looked over at Sundae. "Hey, when mikayla comes over for a visit, will u bite her for me?" She cocked her head to one side. "Yeah, I thought so too.."
Mikayla: HELLLOOOO???
Me: oh srry.. so, V is korean huh?
Mikayla: yeah yeah! that gives me such an advantage, i can talk korean with him n stuff! :DDD
Me: yeah, i bet ur really happy haha.
Mikayla: I am! n u know wat?? his dad told us that V is going to switch schools to somewhere in seattle!!!!
Oh boy... I thought. I hope that father of his didn't tell her too much, because when she comes back she's going to open her big mouth to the rest of the school!
Me: oh really..?
Mikayla: yea yea!! im so excited, wat if its OUR school?!?
Me: then keep him away from me XP
Mikayla: how come u dont like him?? or b.gen for that matter?
Me: I just don't k? Oh, i gtg.
Mikayla: me too, i think they are calling out flight numbers. see u on sunday!
Me: haha k. bye!
Mikayla: SEE YAAA!!
And that was it. Just then I decided to check out the status of all my friends. I guess Mikayla was right about them watching the concert on T.V. Lisa's status was 'B.GEN LIVE FROM CHICAGO ON PAY PER VIEW!!! I'm a happy camper now!! :D' and Jay's status was 'Watching the Blue Generation concert with my cousins.' My God, was everybodywatching this?! I just couldn't believe it... It's almost as if they were a new nation-wide sensation. Well, they where.. Then something came to my attention. "Wait a second.." I re-read Lisa's status. "'Live from Chicago'? That can't be right.. I just saw them today!" Maybe it was a pre-recorded show? It had to have been. There's no way they could be in Chicago now just within an hour of me meeting them here! And besides, that V was totally drunk. No wya he could sing like that. It's got to be a hoax, I thought. A total lie. Jeez, this even makes me hate them more! First the lead singer is just a deliquent who likes sneaking into bars and drinking underage, and now they're lieing to their fans! Paying to watch something that's not even real, it's a shame. I wanted to call Jay and Lisa and tell them, but I just couldn't. If I did, that would also mean I had to tell them about my incident today, and I couldn't do that. When I heard Karen scream from down stairs I knew she had to be watching the concert too. I went downstairs to see if they really where in "Chicago". The volume on our T.V. was to the max, I couldn't even hear myself think! The speakers roared and I swear I could feel the house shake. "Why is this up so loud?!" I stomped into the living room. "WHAAAT?? SORRY CAN'T HEAR YOU!!!" She yelled back, but didn't take her eyes off of the screen. It was true though, they really were having a concert in, "Chicago". I just wondered how they pulled it off. "Is this pre-recorded??" I asked as loud as I could. "WHAT TREE IS DISTORTED???" She responded. "What the? Tree is distorted? But, that doesn't even make any sense!!" "YOU'RE WELCOME!!!" She obviously couldn't hear me so I grabbed the remote off the center table, muted the T.V. and screamed, "I SAID IS THIS SHOW FREAKIN RECORDED?!??!" And then there was silence. "Hey, what is going on in here?!?" Mom ran into the living room, with paint on her face and clothes. She must have been doing some art. "Yeah, mom, Sam just came in here, muted the concert I was watching and screamed at me for no reason!!" Karen whined. God, she's such a baby. "What?" Then mom turned to me. "Sam..?" "No mom, that's not what happened!! I had a reason, she just couldn't hear because she had the music SO FREAKIN LOUD." I turned to Karen. "Psh, whatever." She got up and grabbed the remote from me and un-muted the T.V. Then BAAAMMM the loud wave of music pounded through the speakers once again. "Whoa, whoa, WHOA!!!" Mom grabbed the remote back from Karen and muted the T.V. once again. "Now, that was clearly just TOO loud, Karen." "Mooommm, gosh!! I'm trying to watch BLUE GENERATION'S live concert!!!" "I don't care. Turn the volume down or you're turning the T.V. off." Obviously she wouldn't want to stop watching her precious band, so she listened to mom and turned the volume down. After things got settled and they went on a 10-minute intermission, I decided to go back to my original question. "Hey, Karen?" "What?" She said this in a somewhat irritated tone. "Are you sure this is a live concert?" "Yes, of course! Why wouldn't it be?" "You heard...?" She moved her head slightly to the side. "Well, I heard that they were flying to California an hour ago.." Sweet lie, right? "Oh, sure! What tabloid are you reading?" "You're right, I guess not." Because I'm right. The intermission was finally over, but instead of going back upstairs I ended up sitting there with Karen watching the concert myself. It was really weird. There was only 20 minutes left, so I thought 'Why not? I'm gonna face them at school anyways.' so I joined my little sister in her watching. 2 songs played, When they Laugh and Secret Tee. I favored When they Laugh more, because the beat was pretty cool, but the lyrics did not match the rush the music was giving out. Secret Tee was, personally, just a mess. "Man, aint this great?!" Karen rocked back and forth on the couch. "Sure..." I yawned. "Well hey, at least you're watching! I've been trying to get you into these guys for like, ever!" "You mean the drummer?? Yeah whatever, she just bangs stuff with a stick, and she hardly talks in interviews or stuff and she's not even all that pretty!" "So, you pretty much just like the guys?" Yeah, that's what I thought. They're all just glamour with no game, and that's the only reason they have so much fans. Now that I think about it, I wonder if that girl, Nikki, ever gets tired of being around so many guys for so long. I know I couldn't do it, and I'm kind of a tomboy my self. Well, I'm not girly anyway. She seems cool though, playing drums, and I'm sure not a lot of people notice, but she's really good. Without a nice drum beat, there wouldn't be any good songs. Some people just need more appreciation in the world.. But then again, I don't know everything there is to know. At the time the concert was finally coming to a close, Sundae came running down from upstairs. I guess she didn't want to be around the music. But when they all came out on stage to take a bow, V made a special comment to his fans. "Oh my goosssshhh!!! V is gonna talk! He's going to talk!" Karen jumped up. Then he spoke, "I would like to thank everyone for supporting us. Without our fans, I don't know where we'd be now." I know where you guys would be. Getting hit on by tons of girls, since your looks are the only thing you've got. "Also, I can't wait to release our first CD on the 25th of February, which is also my birthday!" "NO WAY!" Karen cheered. "Now I know his official birthday! Hehe, I am SO going to send him the best fan-basket ever!" I just sighed. "And finally," V stated. "I want you all to remember that we love you." Big emphasis on the 'love you'. "YAY he loves me!!" Karen giggled. I rolled my eyes. "Well that's enough for me, I'm going upstairs." Sundae followed me. She's such a good dog! Mom usually puts her in the garage at night, but I figured she was such a good girl today I'd let her sleep in my room. So I got out some blankets, 2 small pillows, and set up a little bed right next to mine. I flattened the blankets. "There ya go Sundae, you can sleep here tonight." She trotted over and onto the mini bed. She walked in a circle twice before finally cuddling down, but when she did she quickly dozed off. "Wow, you must be tired." I patted her head. I walked over to my computer to review some Facebook stats. Jay's read, 'Awesome concert! You guys know which one ;)' and Lisa's read, 'OMG BEST CONCERT EVER!!! Even though I wasn't there XD'. And even Karen updated already from her iTouch, 'Loved the B.Gen concert! I wish they came to Seattle though! <3 V!!' I chuckled a bit at that. Oh little sister.. They will be here before you know it. I laughed in my head. And although I knew it was going to freak a few people out, I decided to post my own status about the concert as well, before I headed off to bed. "There, that should do it." I smiled. I shut off the computer and head to bed. I wondered what kind of replied I would get to my status tomorrow. I guess I'll just have to wait.
