A Needle's Eye

A Needle's Eye

A Poem by Kelly Scheppers

A Needle's Eye

She beseeched the night

to go passively,

to not allow his memory

to slip through her hands,

like a thread

through a needle's eye.

Beautiful. I just read Al's poem and can see the beautiful inspiration it was born of.

You say so much with so few words. I love the photo you chose for this poem as well. Great job!

dear Kelly... when the thread goes through
the needle's eye... I feel a sense of peace.
I make a knot quickly so as to secure the
miracle of connection. As stitches continue
to embrace romantic sensations, an intermission
of passion paints a mural of devotion. A tapestry
of life starts with a thread through an opening of
opportunity. as ever... Pat

Very nice use of words Kelly. The head of a needle. A small exit and hard to find. I like the complete poem. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Would be a good title and you are welcome.
That's such a stunning picture, Kelly! I love how it flows like your words in my mind's eye. The image of a thread becoming unconnected from a needle's eye, that might otherwise have stitched her heart to his is just amazing writing... very nice work!

The flow of your words matches the flow of the dress in the graphic. Charming poetry! Lydi**

Memorizing, enchanting, going beyond the skin of beauty. I stayed awhile letting the words and image wash over me. Here I gazed long into the transcendence of words until my mind and soul could hold no more.
