Validation

A Poem by Kelly Scheppers

Validation

The sheets upon the bed

are a muted validation

of the love we made.

I am hesitant to straighten

their rippled effect,

for fear

it will dismiss you

completely.

Kelly, You never fail to stir a longing inside with your words. (I'm not trying to sound dirty) This is short and poignant. You're probably going to have to throw those in the wash sometime though. Kidding. Don't get me banned. Haha CD

Oh yes, I suppose I'll have to wash them eventually...how sad! Thank you, CD...not to worry! ; )
If you just whisper to me silently I'll mess them up more so that you may know the love I have for your whisper.

Love,
Al

ooooooof direct hit, kiddo ....

oh the fragility of love and the proof of it. from a woman's perspective, this is exactly how we think. almost as though if we don't breath or move, the evidence won't vanish and our dreams just might.come.true.

exquisite insight and elocution, sweetpea. wow.

love, j xx

Agonisingly beautiful Kelly! The picture is so very apt as well. It has such beauty and yearning and loss all mixed up in those sheets.
