A Love Such as This

A Love Such as This

A Poem by Kelly Scheppers

As breathless as a falling star,

of monarchs in a mason jar

of rainbows in their fullest hue,

of daylight in a mist of dew

of children’s laughter,

a newborn’s cry…

the utter joy of being alive

to dance in fields of morning glories

the happily-ever-after story, are we, with…

a love such as this.

...sorry for the long in between time between posts! I badly sprained my ankle on my daily jog, and have been feeling out of sorts. I hope you enjoy this, for I rarely do a rhyme.

First off, the picture is beautiful! Second, the rhyme is exceptional, something I noticed you don't do very often. A beautiful description of love...I wish I had. :)

Perhaps I will dabble with rhyme a little more often. So happy you enjoyed this, Kelsey!
Okay, "YOU, keep off that ankle and give it a chance to heal good … you'll be out jogging again before you know it!"
What a fun picture for this one, Kelly, and the soft-feeling font is absolutely perfect to caress the mood through this rare (for you) Free Style rhymer.
"A Love Such as This", indeed! You captured my heart and imagination between the sweet allure your words convey and the warming thought of "a love such as this."

You humble and touch me deeply with your gentle nature, Kelly.
Thank you so happily! ⁓ Richard

Kelly, You may not do many rhymes, but you certainly had a "leg up" on this one. A tale of love told sparingly, like a blank wall with love graffiti sprayed in carefully selected spots. Nicely done, thank you for sharing with us. take care...dan

I think perhaps I will, Richard...many thanks, my friend!
The rhyming is great...and very different for you. I enjoyed the romantic upbeat feel of this one. The font was a little difficult for me to read. Guess my eyes are getting old! :) Hope the ankle feels better, Kelly. Lydi**
