But yes, this so well encapsulates the chaos of the morning routine with little ones everywhere-I completely relate.. and that morning coffee is so heavenly when this is the battle that awaits you come every morning. I don’t know about you, but I am quiet and can be a completely dismal non-morning person until I’ve had my pharmaceutical doses of caffeine.. I enjoyed this anthem to the complacent simple chaos of motherhood!!

I'd be lost without that jolt in my morning, and I know many who feel the same...especially with taking care of kids. Something has to help me keep with them! Lol, Many thanks, girl! ...that's two sugars and cream, how about you?

Lately I’ve been doing 3-4 sugars and cream if it’s strong, and less if it’s a medium or light roast. I was raised on tea and then merged to lattes and the like, so I am a lightweight on the coffee!
And tomorrow morning I’ll be imagining us sharing our massive amounts of caffeine together!
remember those days all too well. i love the way you have captured it here. straight-up caffeinated write boosting my spirit this morning. great one to start my day Kelly!

about to start soon. half a foot expected where i am.
Sometimes coffee can be the one thing to calm the chaos that comes with everyday life.
Especially when your Mom and you never really get the day off. I enjoyed the realness of this poem and the overall theme.
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the review, David. It's always good to see a new face around here!
The morning rush, so well pictured here, is indeed a time that reminds us of our priorities and the fact that there are other things that must take precedence over ourselves. Frankly, sometimes its a pleasure, sometimes a pain. I love my kids though. Another great poem from you, Kelly.

love this, especially the ending...it takes all of that to have the speaker suddenly realize she is not single anymore...
witty poem with a great beat.
