Thank you, Soren!
Dear Kelly. Ocean can be very cold. When we seek the unknown. We will dance with death. The beauty and secrets of the sea. Protected. I live near Lake Superior. She is a dangerous lake. Thank you dear friend for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.

You are welcome dear Kelly.
tragic to say the least although i'm sure they knew that there were risks. now they are forever interred with those and that which they sought to learn about. ironic - now others are going down to learn about them ... :)

Some of us blame those explorers but we should mourn their exit from life. Adventurers at heart are the people who drive civilization forward. From the age of the vikings to the wild wild west to the current age, the spirit of adventure remain humanity's greatest strength

It was a needless waste of life. That makes it more tragic.
A truly sad story. Two miles down is no place to take a tourist trip.

Thank you, Carl!
Sad and in a strange way hopeful for the human spirit. As James Cameron said. It is strange the same thing happend for the same reasons. Both the Titan and the Titanic were apparently unsinkable.

Thank you, Ken!
Well said Kelly.
We do not choose the time of our own death, but we cannot live in fear of it either. That these men perished is unfortunate, but some are willing to accept the risk and pursue something bigger than themselves.
Thankfully ... there would have been no suffering for them ... only for their families.

A senyru that is a fitting tribute.

We can only pray that they knew nothing was about to happen. Thank you, Ted!
A beautiful tribute, Kelly. Aside from the nineteen-year-old, who merely agreed to go to make his father happy, they died doing what they wanted to do. I think there's a blessing in that. Most of us will never know that luxury.
