Null and Void

Null and Void

A Poem by Kelly Scheppers

Null and Void

the gravity

of your words

weigh upon me

like snow

on redwood trees.

you stifle

my resolve

with silence…

a droning hum

that extinguishes

the breath of me.

why can another do this to us...
we can love so hard that the result of unrequited love is a hard death to the emotions we thought were as strong and tall as the redwood.

A most beautiful analogy. Thank you, J!
Words have extreme impacts on us sometimes and the closer we are to people the more those words can bite

Perhaps more so when love is involved. Thank you for your perspective and kindness of words today.
