I must say, this write - It speaks. What a wonderful piece of poetry here, Kelly. The soul after all can't be ignored, it speaks and we must listen to it. you portray this expression of soul so beautifully here, sunlight peering, umbrella trees, slumbering sky, pea soup dawns, winding roads leading home - sounds like music to my ears. enjoyed reading this so much, thanks for sharing.

I believe poetry allows our soul to speak. So thrilled you enjoyed this, Abhilash. Thank you!
Very nicely written Kelly. You have a way of using an economy of words to produce simple, elegant imagery that touches on things important to me: this time it’s nature, birds, weather, music, books. So much of your work is like an acupuncture of the heart and mind for me, a word here, a line there are the needles into the spiritual network of my being, eliciting bittersweet memories, feelings, beauty. Thank you. MSB

Dearest Kelly you are my sister in song and memory with these musical lines. Beautiful metaphor, imagery, alliteration, onomatopoeia, and speaking souls… your gorgeous lines are a magic carpet ride through times and thoughts that flowed, renewed, inspired… Brava Queen!🙌😘

Hi Kelly, the sounds of silence can be beautiful indeed to the soul. Simon and Garfunkel wrote the most amazing lyrics that do linger as classics.
We do not always need words to speak when our souls are soothed by the music and words of others....
Poetry is rhythmic and a kind of music after all...

OMG I love this one..."theMcCartney paths/ of yesterday" Such a clever metaphor.
and "pea soup dawns" i want to sup on those...I love pea soup and dawns, so put together? absolutely.
and "sounds of silence" "Hello Darkness my old friend" (the personification of that) and reference to S&G...
This poem it speaks!

It gets weirder... Scotland and the rest of the uk were warmer than Greece today. No warning, nothing!
Had to whip off tge old thermals and other four layers of clothing off, as well as my waterproofs before i dribbled away into a puddle!
My soul speaks to me too, but usually only to enquire why i chose Scotland to be born in and arent i due a holidat to somewhere tropical soon? 😜
