So charmed by the sense of abandon: adventure, desire, and vulnerability all woven into the imagery of sea and sail. And the final stanza lingers beautifully... romance tinged with danger, a surrender to both love and the unknown. STUNNING!

I did not realize I was holding my breath after the fist stanza. What "pours" other than the wine are those verses flowing so softly from your heart. Indeed, the first stanza alone is a complete memory. Take a breath, come join my pool.

All life is romance for lovers, even in the shabby smell of stale beer and cigarettes. Romance is great. It doesn't always portray reality realistically but that's not what it's for. It's the mortar that builds bricks for the foundation of dreams. Romance hopes all sorts of stuff.

Me thinks Kelly has been blown out to sea, the sea of love that is!!! Your romantic poems leave the reader wanting more and for the love created within the poem to be contagious, like a virus leaving the heart open to the possibilities of going "fishing... at the end of the sky". Each of us need and desire such an adventure.
