Dance Me to the End of Love

Dance Me to the End of Love

A Poem by Kelly Scheppers
"

...a bow to Leonard Cohen

"
...dance me to the end of love

Dance Me to the End of Love

i’d  forever sleep

the day away

per chance to dream of you…

lift me like an olive branch

and dance me to the end of love.

your fingers, well versed

upon each curve

like the resin bow to a Stradivarius,

enticing you

orchestrating you

to dance me to the end of love.

oh, dance me to the end of love

woo me

like a Memphis moon

play me like a cello, tuned

dance me to the end of love.

Ahhhhh....who wouldn't be wowed by all that you mention in this one, Kelly? I like the repetition in each stanza. It seems you have used that wonderful line, "dance me to the end of love" before....maybe at the other site we were on. In any case, another wonderful romantic write from you! Lydi**

This post should come with a temperature warning; it's, scorching! As I read, I could vividly picture quick, deliberate tango moves, each step pulsing with precision and passion.
