Tears of the western sun

Tears of the western sun

A Poem by Baldwin Mupfeki

Out of its mother's womb,
to weep, it arises,
Its tears shedding;
drowning delicate luminance
in earthly atrocities!
To a sun which won't smile
enough to lighten the paling
horizons;
One, like an ant,
when safety calls
in its anthill it prefers-
For earthlings rob everything,
cutting across their paths!

This is very powerful - screams of mans destruction of this beautiful planet and all the innocent creatures trying to live in peace here - I like this a lot!
