Roses

Roses

A Poem by Kate

There I sat
There I sat
Roses on a mat
My stare blank
Bored of your
Preposterous crap
There I sat
In a camisole
Writhing my toe
Desire suffocated by
A cigar smoke
There I sat
My breasts heaving
To the heart's beating
To empty grasps
That made me laugh
There I sat
A glass of wine
My teeth yellow
Like marshmallows
Melting in the sun
