Truth

Truth

A Poem by Kate

He scratched his arse
And burped
I rolled my eyes
And slurred
What is the truth?
He stooped to look
Smirked in his dishevelled shirt
For he could not on Earth
Fathom why I brood
About such a thing as truth

I like this because it reminds me of my nation's current descent into hell for which we might not return from. I feel like you do searching and responding to truth while they arse-scratcher is the one who voted for the current leader of my country. A great write for sure.

Thank you ♥️
Kate, I love how this makes the search for truth feel both ridiculous and profound..sometimes life’s deepest questions meet the most ordinary distractions.

♥️ nice feedback, thank you
Kate,
For 2 millennia, the west has ruled the earth, marked our passing with art, literature, and philosophy... Apparently,, it's apparent that we have lost our drive and are in danger of diminishing into dust. The worst of it is I would hate to have to write in Chinese.
