i couldnt let our friendship be

i had to play with

i wish i could have gotten through to you.

that with each hug my heart slowly fell for you.

 

you treated me like i want to be treated

not like others by whom i was mistreated

theres been a few stray messes in my past

but around you i forget them fast.

they fade and pass and slip away

until your gone for another day.

 

hours speed by when i talk with you

an hour's texts quickly turn into two.

theres never a dull moment in time

laughs and jokes are a dozen a dime.

but its late now and i cant think anything more to rhyme
