TWO DIMENSIONAL OBJECTS DO NOT EXIST!A Story by Lydia WegnerA rant of mine concerning two-dimensional objects. You know how whenever you're in school, the teacher refers to a piece of paper as a "rectangle?" Well, PAPER HAS A THICKNESS! You can measure it's thickness pretty easy, too, well, at least compared to other things (like microscopic microbes or a nucleus of a cell). Or, during third grade geometry, did you ever deal with paper cut-outs of shapes, like squares, triangles, rectangles, pentagons, or any other enclosed figure with a reasonable amount of sides? Well, I propose that that harmless paper hexagon was... A HEXAGONAL PRISM IN DISGUISE! It has a width, height, and length! It's a three dimensional figure, not a two dimensional one! © 2008 Lydia WegnerAuthor's Note
