These starless eyes pierce me

She’s blind just like the rest

She’ll never let herself see

What’s she’s allowed herself to be

 

The trust I gave, the words I said

All was truth, my feelings bled

The lies I was given, the pain I felt

She’ll give them to all, feelings dead

 

Those starless eyes that look past me
