Skepticism

All the internet scams and such

I question every smile, and the glean in their eye
And wonder if I look so gullible while being told a lie
It's taken a few punches for me to learn
Now I seek out skepticism at every turn
With their empty promises that they flaunt
The final straw is just the money they want
The freedom and joy they take away
When all I can think about is "pay, pay, pay"
I'll forge ahead and let their promise pass me by
Because my pride won't built upon with empty lies
