Bed Rest

Bed Rest

A Poem by Mysilentembrace
"

After breaking my ankle my dr set me on bedrest. I am a human who struggles deeply when I cannot be outside playing in the mountains and being inside to long makes me stir crazy, This is about that.

"

I do not do well locked inside,
away from sun, the mountains, sky.
I do not do well stuck in bed-
pressure builds inside my head.

Though I do well all alone,
bed rest never feels like home.
I do not do well motionless;
it only leads to restlessness.

So I’ll climb mountains in my mind,
to leave this stale room far behind.

Good description being sick.

I think I too would suffer the same. The natural environment is my life blood. To be couped up inside would be like imprisonment. Totally relatable. I hope your ankle heals soon and happy thought flight.
