All the Things in the WorldA Story by Lilly of the Valley
In the corner of the room, that grey cabinet that was chipped on the edges with little faded papers naming all the things in the world. I was walking towards it my hand reached out. I pulled the handle. I was locked. I dug into my pocket and found a set of keys that jingled like three hundred tiny bells. I carefully chose the smallest, shinyest silver key and gingerly slid it into the keyhole and turned the key. Each and every drawer popped open with a sickening snap. Inside there was hundreds of thousands of scrolls only time had turned yellow. Suddenly there were footsteps behind me. I flicked my hand and each drawer closed with a smack. The steps grew louder and louder, as the person came closer and closer. Then they stopped. I could feel breath on my neck and hands on my waist. Where am I?
