Never Again

I smile on the outside but inside I am breaking

I laugh to save face but deep down I am aching

My heart is hurt and forever scarred

The recovery will take long, after being marred

I tell everyone I am just fine, I will be okay

Truth is never again will I trust anyone has to say

I was lied to, cheated on the physically abused

The lies and deceit, battered and used

Never again will I make that mistake 

The pain and hurt I feel, I can not take

I vow to never fall for the same thing twice

For falling in love has too steep of a price
