Dreamer

Dreamer

A Poem by Mysty Rayn

I could ask you to take me for who I am

But I don’t know who that is

Yesterday a child

Today a woman

Each moment lost in the next

Swallowed by a dream of tomorrow

And who I wish to be

Confused by yesterday

Damaged today

Consumed with insecurities

Fantasizing of the woman I could be

I could ask you to take me for who I am

But I don’t know who that is

I’ve always just been  a dreamer
