Hollow Void

Hollow Void

A Story by ɴᴏɪʀ ネス
"

for my older self

"

Outside is the vast lush emerald

A single breath in

Imagination flies over the roofs

And lands between the string cheese trees

Where one sat for its solitude

Fly fly and fly away it flew

Doors to the inhabitants open to catch a glimpse

Greeted by gestures of glee

There’s the interaction of life

Hush hush and hush it hides in silence

Passed through the green

Is the imposing heights of a goal

One could only imagine to attain

But then the overhead glorious azure crown

Holds dear before its departure

The walls that barricade and protect

Also trap sense with its overcast partner

City sounds are vacant and suburban noise deafens

Clouding an empty mind

Pitter Patter Pitter Patter

Never does weather wither away this

It returned

Conscience of confinement

By a barren, plain, and dark cave

Assisted by lonesome heart,

Will and mind

Through an opening of light

That illuminates the room

Creeping through the crooks and crannies of space

It withdraws as fast as it came

The Door opens and community awakens

A younger person passed away here

His grave was sent

Not once was he repentant

A single breath out
