my Apollo

my Apollo

A Poem by ɴᴏɪʀ ネス

in his quest rejecting the odds
hyacinth stabbed
clamp on his shoulder
impervious to the bind
laid a lily’s pity
ravenous howl unleashed
rendering blind the mind sacred of its meadow

                                                                               NOW

the purge begins
wave and blade and it’s all a blur
intrude to risk his scold
the type you fail to recover from
clawing, throat
raking, limbs
streaking, dim
shuddering breath exempt of fatigue
release of the angel and its sweetest farewell
plunge into the shadows no longer a haven
