step into the moon's tears

she cried

breaking silence kept by the ceiling and glow above her

every bulb every stem every petal

every wave

they fluttered

smiling at the slip in the sky, accepting each dance before time forgave them

she cried

telling story by story following drip by drip

there’d be a splish there’d be a splash

ridding the hollow of its trash

and she laughed

the farewell to an otherwise known
