Ready to Die

 

I am ready to die

to let it all end

on jagged rocks will I lie

I step to the edge

and from a blood red sky

the voice of death's angel

that sings his haunting cry

I listen spell bound by this creature’s sad song

caressed by scorching fingers

which showed me the way from a life not so long

down into an abyss of hell

as midnight is tolled by God's great bell

I am ready to die

forever burning

dead in death’s arms shall I lie

wow, this is powerful and sweeping into darkness, the red and black colors play on the visual senses and the meaning is a journey walking a cliff and to fall off is to give the heart away, to break.
what struck me most was the delving passion, and suubtle intensity, excellent job!
