A Story by Gemzi

Chapter one.
The wanting.

It was always weird around this time of year, first the weather would change every 10minutes, next other students would go missing, usually around age 12. Everyone in town called it 'The Wanting', of cause no one was with these students, some even taken from bedrooms, most would turn up after a few years.
Bine was heading home from school one evening when she felt the touch of someones hand.
"Don't be afraid Bine. You will be taken good care of." A ladies sweet voice could be heard.
The next second Bine was in a smallish room with 5 others and an empty bed, they all had their school bags and a town school uniform on, yet on their beds lay a pile of blankets and a new uniform.
"Dinner will be ready in two hours. I expect beds made and uniforms on." The lady instructed.
Bine glanced at the lady, she was mid 30s and looked rather big in a semi faded green with a long also faded red sash like collar with gold embroidery cloak which looked a size too small, she had a very stern look and rather violet eyes which seemed to change colour the more Bine kept turning to glance. The others just stared at the lady before she suddenly disappeared, making them look at each other in horror before quickly setting up their beds and getting changed into their new red, blue and gold uniforms.
"H-Hello..." A small boy said, glancing at Bine. "My name is Kapoy." He smiled at her, he seemed less scared then the others as he smiled at everyone else. "My mother says it's goodluck to be taken."
The rest stared at the strange boy, he had blue eyes, braces, dark blond-brown hair and stood 4'7 so he was the shortest in the room.

Chapter two.
The interview.

The next day they were all woken rather early, the sun wasn't even up yet, they lined up as they had last night for dinner. Today there were 6 other students serving everyone and again it was the strange adults and older students who ate first.
After breakfast the young teacher stood. "Now I would like to welcome you all to a new year of school!  As you former years have noticed, we have new students! Would you all like to stand?" She was refering to the new students, the small boy stood, he was proud of it. The others slowly started to stand.
"Thank you." She said as the last stood. "Now please line up at the front." She instructed.
All the new students slowly formed a line looking out to the others. The lady smirked and a whisp of cold air harshly blew behind the students.
A large rather raggy man stood where the wind had stopped. "Hello everyone!" He shouted, which made the others near him flinch and cover their ears. "Today is a special day! We have new students!" He clapped excitedly. "But!" He walked down the front of the line. "How do we seprate the Limbars from the humans?" He smirked, staring into the eyes of everyone he passes, as if looking for something.
After a while he chuckled and started leading them away one by one, half returned.
Bine slowly walked into the office where the strange man sat, chuckling.
"Bine Kuyo is it?" He asked as if reading papers, yet there were none in sight, she just nodded. "I heard some amazing things about you Miss Kuyo." He continued. "Please, sit."
She gulped and sat down, glancing at all the strange things that were somehow floating above the desk.
"Now Miss Kuyo..." He gave her a soft smile and a sheet of paper landed in front of Bine, it was a test. "As you can see, we have filled out most of the answers, so all you need to do is the last one." He points to a question that read: Do you believe this is a dream?
Bine closed her eyes, thinking of this question carefully, how could it be a dream? Every year another lot of kids go missing, how can anyone dream that every year? Or even at all? She opened her eyes slightly, to her amazement she was in a hospital bed with her family around her.

Chapter three.
Dream or reality.

Bine stared at her parents, they had rather shocked looks on their faces.
"M-Mother?" She asked quietly, her mother said nothing, just cupped her daughters face in her hand, sighing. "Mother?" Bine asked again. "Father?" She glanced at her father who was holding her right hand, they each said nothing and smiled at her softly.
Bine felt her self drift back into a sleeping state, opening her eyes again she was back in the strange office with the test in front of her. "W-What happened? M-My parents are they...?" She stared at the man oppisite her.
He smiled. "They are fine Miss Kuyo. I am headmaster of Brumie." He nodded. "You may call me Mr. Brumie. I have owned this school for quite some time, as my mother before me." He got up from his desk and walked towards her. "Now, what do you think?" He asked, referring to the last question on the test.
Bine looked at the test and sighed, unsure she half hoped he would let her think it over for the night. "M-May I please think on it?" She asked, glancing up at him and gulping. "P-Please sir...?" She half whispered as though about to cry. She had started to tremble slightly. "M-May I please go home too?" She had just enough courage to look him in the eyes, although only for a quick second before she started trembling more, unsure what he could do, even if it was a dream.
He chuckled lightly and patted her head. "You have the weekend home. However if you speak about any of this..."
