Beauty and the Beast

Beauty and the Beast

A Poem by NamRiee
"

I am new to writing. Good looks overpower a good heart - is what I realised from my own life experience. Though I struggled in writing this piece, I managed to complete the poem somehow.

"
Her hair so beautiful,
Smooth as silk..
A skin so soft..
Fair as milk.
Her thick pink lips,
Her melodious voice,
Her big beady eyes,
Left you no choice!
She is an angel..
A heart so pure,
Not a broken heart
With her love she cannot cure.
A gorgeous lady!
A pious bliss,
No wonder why
You fell at her kiss.
In front of her
I stand no chance,
Dull wheat skin
No gracious glance.
Immature, impatient,
Bossy little girl..
A heart confused between sequin and pearl.
I blame you not
For loving her so deep,
Her love has made you deaf
You cannot hear me weep.
You heart skipped a beat
Everytime she smiled
Going apart from you
Made my heart grew wild.
Your love for her may never be ceased,
Cuz she be a beauty and I be the beast.

NamRiee
How much more maturity do I need to pour in my writings?
