Alone

Again, last night, horrible.

You were that one good thing
My bright bright light
In a world covered in darkness
And now that I've lost you my love
I have fallen into supreme despair
There is not a more lonely bring in this world
As I am destined to stand alone for all eternity
Not a soul in sight
Not even a friend to catch my tears
I have never felt a pain as deep as this
That pain flows through veins
Begging for release
And as I cut open these arms
And let flow my crimson regret
Images of you swarm my vision
Never ending
Until I fall into my eternal slumber

There's some good images in this poem, and it looks like it would thrive even more when read aloud. Though there's some heavy handedness to it, and the poem tends to suffer in the middle. Still it's worthy a read.
