Tangled Sheets...Caressing FeetA Poem by Nansi LondonThis gave me the gold trophy for the contest it was entered in...

The night has come and gone and I awake with you beside me.
The sun, I watched it peaking through my curtains and warming the air that filtered through my window. Robins sang in praise of the new day and gave merit to the sun for bringing them warmth. I too love the warmth, but it is not of the sun. These sheets- ashen and crumbled know not the cold. Neither does this body. For I spent the night cradled in your arms knowing only you as my blanket. To wake now and perceive your face being graced by the early morn rays... Is truly Heaven... And to watch those beautiful eyes escape the darkness behind those lids... And gaze so contently into mine... Well love...’tis truly Paradise... |
