A highly educated smart woman, that is what you was.

Through your words and rhymes, you inspired a generation and gave them motivation.

You was more than a poet; a civil rights activist, a film producer, an author, an actress and a professor.

The day you passed hurt me so bad, I felt as if my whole body had been shattered into glass.

I Know that your now in a better place, smiling down from up above, beyond space.
