The curse

The curse

A Poem by Black Jess

I think we're just not meant to be in the same place
It's like a curse
I think our meeting will be just in our dreams
And that's what I fear
Everything happens exactly the way we hate
This is our unlucky fate
And nothing ever happens the way we like
We just don't have luck

When everything is just about to be , it doesn't
When everything is just about to happen , it doesn't
When everything is just about to get perfect , it won't
It's like we're cursed

Saying sorry is not enough
Wishing to the stars is hopless
For waiting , I'm not tough
And I know that crying is helpless

You may say it's a bad luck
Or maybe it's a bad love
But i would say it's a curse !

I agree, I think it is a curse some of us were born with. The ones who feel the deepest are left with mostly heartache. So we feel joy stronger than most but we also feel sadness stronger. Then nothing seems to go right for us. We are left with a choice: give up our own hopes of ever finding happiness so we can help those we love along the way, or keep trying to find it and one day settle in on something.

Thank you for your understanding darian , I appreciate x)
Beautifully expressed poem. . . :)
I must say it conveys almost the same thought as one of my poems, The Sun and the Moon, and I can definitely relate to this.
Thanks for inviting me to read! Keep writing! :)

Yeah it looks like your poem which I Really like too. Thank you
You've expressed very strong emotions in this piece, and I'm sure anyone who reads this (including myself) can relate to it. Whenever it feels as though in everything in life has gone wrong, it's like nothing will ever be good again. I think the word "curse" describes this feeling very well. I could especially relate to the first line of the last stanza because the term "bad luck" doesn't seem to capture the sorrow that one can feel. Thanks for sharing this piece.

Writing is my escape. I want to be lost in a world made of books, tea and rainy days. We need never be ashamed of our tears, for they are rain upon the blinding dust of earth, overly.. more..
