The Importance of non-functional testing

The software manufacturing companies are scattered worldwide. The recent growth in software testing companies does verify the necessity of the tests of computer programming. It does not matter to which part of the globe you reside but you have to conduct it for better performance.

 

The prime reason for such testing is to understand all round performance of the software that is soon to be introduced for the techies. If there are any faults in the integrated units, then the same is traced and repaired by integrated testing. It is very helpful in this regard.

 

There are various methods to conduct such tests. It is the stakeholders and quality control team that decide the testing method to be followed.  It is worthwhile to mention here that certain programming manufactured in UK might not work in USA and so on. The testing companies do lots of investigation into such smallest matter in detail and then draw any conclusion. In its simple term, the non-functional testing is done to trace the backup, operability, portability and quality of any newly developed software. This is important because if the company is itself not satisfied with the results, then how can the user be satisfied? Hence it is absolutely necessary for any software to go through such tests firsts.

 

These companies carry a series of tests to examine the maintainability, usability and performance of the software. This is really very important for both the software manufacturing company also called OEM or original equipment manufacturer and the users. The integrated testing is another important part of software scrutiny. Under this, two or more units are assembled and tested as a group. This test is done once the unit test has already been carried. When each unit of a software programming is investigated separately as a unit then it is called unit testing of the said software.

 

In the current days many such companies can be found that are expert in their field. They have a very skilled team and are capable of drawing correct results. Today most of the software companies do visit such testing labs to know the efficiency and effectiveness of their recently developed computer programme. The correct reliability of software can never be found unless these programming go through a series of tests. In technical term these are called non-functional testing.

 

 

Initially they carry the unit tests of any software so as to know the effectiveness of each unit of the software. When all these tests are finished then non-functional testing is done. This relate to general aspect of the software such as their performance, maintainability, safety factor, stability and others.
