I miss being a child

I miss being a child

A Poem by Natassha
"

Lets face it... we all wanted to grow up and be free... But are we really free? Growing up sucks.

"

I miss being a child,

and the simplicity of it all.

It was so easy to be wild

when there were hands to catch your fall.

I miss mother walking me to school

and the good bye kiss that laid on my cheek.

I miss the smell of crayons

and the intense rounds of Hide-and-go-seek.

I miss thinking boys were ugly

and not knowing how much heartbreak hurt.

I miss that phase of speaking bluntly

and being clueless on how to flirt.

I miss not caring about the value of a coin

and being blind to who was rich or poor.

I miss  being able to wear skirts

with out someone calling me a w***e.

I miss not giving a damn on how I look

and being clueless to what people thought of me.

I miss eating whatever I want

and I miss being skinny.

But now I am an adult

and I have to follow rules.

It feels like I am living in a cult

in a world ran by fools..

breaking out of the chrysalis is always strenuous, and often painful, but then that's how we learn to fly...it is a good and positive thing to give expression to these things in poetic expression...good job Natassha
